Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to perform routine and emergency repairs across residential apartments and common areas on our Catonsville campus. You will handle electrical, plumbing, door and lock repairs, and execute preventive maintenance to uphold system reliability and resident comfort.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance experience, HVAC knowledge, EPA refrigerant certification, strong communication with residents and staff, and the ability to lift 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in residential apartments or commercial buildings.
• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Working knowledge of HVAC.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Must possess EPA certification to handle refrigerants.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds; use aid for heavier items.
• Stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders up to 6–8 feet.
• Valid driver’s license if operating community vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including electrical, plumbing, doors and locks.
• Perform all scheduled preventive maintenance on designated equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
• Assist in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for assigned neighborhood to ensure timely tasks.
