Incumbents lead in completing complex tasks and ensure safety and quality in maintenance operations. The position requires hands-on experience, the ability to diagnose issues across trades, and strong teamwork to support THA properties.

Qualifications

• Requires High School graduation or GED.
• Two years of specialized courses/training or experience in construction or repair trade.
• Journeyman Certification in Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct routine and complex maintenance needs in apartments.
• Address plumbing, electrical, or HVAC problems and develop corrective plans.
• Lead a team of mechanics on major projects such as replacing plumbing fixtures or HVAC components.
• Repair and replace toilets, sinks, faucets, and water lines.
• Install gas furnaces and heaters per manufacturer specifications.
• Perform carpentry tasks like replacing doors and cabinets.
• Inspect units for maintenance needs and document findings.
