Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic in Memphis to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. You’ll review equipment reports, log actions, and ensure tools and batteries are properly stored and secured.

The role requires a minimum of six months mechanic experience and welding ability, with a focus on safety and teamwork. The position offers an 8:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule, hourly pay ($30–$34), and benefits such as

Qualifications

• Six months minimum experience as a mechanic.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
• Welding ability.
• Must be able to read and write legibly and follow orders; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, etc.).
• Review equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain a repair log.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) and maintain PM logs.
• Maintain tool area, inventory, and safe storage; work with team and vendors.
