Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Technician to maintain and repair pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, batteries, and related gear. This role supports day and night warehouse operations and requires basic mechanical skills and a proactive safety mindset.

The position relocates to Aurora, IL by mid 2027 and offers a schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM. Base pay ranges $35–$37 per hour with overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High School or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
• Related Experience: A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment; welding ability; able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills; able to work with little direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure availability for day and night operations.
• Review equipment reports, record actions taken, and maintain a repair log per policy.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and maintain PM log with proper documentation.
• Comply with safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, documentation).
• Maintain battery charging area, batteries and related equipment.
• Handle tools and equipment inventory, safe storage, and area security.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned (bulbs, painting, racks, basic plumbing).
