Job summary

Alpha Baking Co., Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to lead a first-shift maintenance crew, ensuring machine reliability and safety compliance in a food production environment. You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and drive continuous improvement in equipment performance.

The role requires 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience, strong electrical and welding skills, and the ability to read schematics and manage maintenance projects end-to-end.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and welding capabilities.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and interpret electrical drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance personnel to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain machinery and support systems at maximum efficiency.
• Follow and evaluate preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules.
• Administer the 'Red Tag' program to monitor food safety goals.
• Train and cross-train mechanics in mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns during off shifts and be available for contact after hours.
• Complete project jobs from BOM lists to completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and EPA regulations.
• Keep shop and maintenance areas clean and well-maintained.
• Schedule work for maintenance personnel on the shift.
