Job Title: Lead Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Lead Mechanic to join our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of packaging machinery and related equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime through effective repairs.
• Collaborate with production operators and engineering teams to improve machinery performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Experience leading a team of Mechanics.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
