Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee the property’s maintenance, perform repairs in resident apartments, and assist in making units ready for rent. The role requires hands-on skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and maintenance operations.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, supervision of subcontractors, and coordination with the Community Manager to ensure safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or equivalent trades experience.
• English communication (verbal and written) required; Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willing to travel within metro areas and some weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Make-ready refurbishing of apartments prior to occupancy.
• Inspect units, buildings and common areas; perform preventive maintenance.
• Supervise subcontractors and train subordinate staff.
• Maintain pool chemical levels and cleanliness.
