Medico Healthcare Linen Service in South Gate, CA is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support plant equipment repairs and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. You will co-lead the team, train personnel, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with the maintenance staff.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent); boiler operator license or trade certification is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
• Boiler Operator License (Optional).
• Trade school or trade certification (Preferred).
• Experience with lockout/tag-out safety procedures is required.

Responsabilidades

• Support plant equipment repairs and upkeep in a fast-paced production environment.
• Lead and coach maintenance team during shifts and co-manage daily operations.
• Provide training to personnel on proper operating practices and safety.
• Assist in payroll processing and enforce safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment, report findings, and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
• Maintain equipment records and daily utility readings.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and use PPE as required.
• Perform basic machining operations (drilling, threading, grinding) as needed.
• Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance and inventory control.
