Job summary

SBA Group is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for our Davie County, NC manufacturing facility. You will oversee maintenance on highly automated furniture equipment, lead a team of technicians, and drive reliability and OEE improvements.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/engineering background, 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, and familiarity with CMMS/SAP. Woodworking equipment experience is a plus. This on-site role offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field) preferred.
3+ years of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (woodworking industry preferred).
Experience maintaining HOMAG, BÜRKLE, or similar automated production equipment is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and vacuum systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and equipment manuals; CMMS/SAP familiarity.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance operations for highly automated furniture manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures to minimize production downtime.
Monitor machine reliability, equipment condition, and maintenance KPIs.
Support optimization of machine availability, reliability, and OEE.
Lead a team of electricians and mechanics.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS/SAP.
