Job summary

SBA Group is seeking a Maintenance Planner Technician for its North Carolina facility to coordinate, schedule, and support maintenance activities ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime in our highly automated manufacturing operations.

You will develop preventative and predictive maintenance plans, review requests, allocate parts, track KPIs, and assist with MRO buying or maintenance engineering when needed. Experience in manufacturing and safety-minded teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work safely at all times.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and prioritize preventative maintenance plans for plant equipment.
• Schedule predictive maintenance in coordination with production to minimize downtime.
• Review maintenance requests and prioritize by criticality and equipment availability.
• Track work orders, backlog, and KPIs; report performance.
• Determine parts and materials for scheduled jobs and ensure availability.
• Maintain equipment history, manuals, and job plans.
• Analyze failure data and suggest reliability improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Ensure maintenance complies with OSHA and safety standards.
• Provide coverage as MRO Buyer or Maintenance Engineer when needed.

Today we are looking for a Maintenance Planner Technician to coordinate, schedule, and support maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal production downtime in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed preventative and predictive maintenance plans for all plant equipment
• Review incoming maintenance requests and prioritize based on criticality and equipment availability
• Schedule predictive maintenance activities in coordination with production schedules to minimize downtime
• Track and report on work order completion rates, backlog, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Determine necessary materials and parts for scheduled jobs and ensure availability.
• Keep track of inventory and manage spare parts; order materials as needed to support routine and emergency repairs.
• Maintain updated equipment history, maintenance records, manuals, and job plans.
• Analyze equipment failure data and identify trends to recommend reliability improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment issues.
• Constantly analyze, implement Lean, and make proposals for the improvement of quality management and environmental standards
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with OSHA, company safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Ability to fill in for MRO Buyer and Maintenance Engineer if needed

• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and highly automated equipment is an advantage
