Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee repair and maintenance of a hotel’s plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and life-safety systems while upholding brand standards and guest satisfaction.

The role reports to the General Manager, may supervise contractors, and is responsible for training maintenance staff and coordinating preventive maintenance within budget and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Leads repair and maintenance of hotel facilities.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and life-safety systems.
• Ability to train maintenance staff and coach team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor interior and exterior property operations.
• Oversee contractor performance and scheduling of maintenance tasks.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training maintenance staff.
• Ensure safety and compliance with NFPA-72 and related standards.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and budgets.
