Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC is seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer to oversee maintenance ops at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail in Williamsburg, VA. The CME leads the maintenance staff, schedules work, and ensures equipment and systems remain operable and compliant with safety standards.

You will serve as the technical spokesperson in client meetings, manage budgets and resources, and respond to emergencies while maintaining detailed CMMS records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required;Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of skilled maintenance and/or commercial experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders daily to set workload priorities.
• Assign work and monitor progress.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, gas, life safety, and security systems.
• Conduct routine facility inspections for safety and operations compliance.
• Maintain CMMS records and ensure documentation is accurate.
