Job summary

Foundry Commercial LLC seeks an experienced Lead Engineer to oversee maintenance requests for a portfolio of properties. You will manage contractor performance, coordinate with vendors, and ensure equipment readiness for critical building systems.

Responsibilities include inventory management, system analytics, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. A strong background in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing is required, along with universal licensing and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with minimum 7+ years field experience with trade school training or 8+ years total field experience
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly proficient in the use of email and CMMS systems
• Superior customer service skills and orientation. Collaborative style needed. Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints, without direct supervision
• Sound troubleshooting skills and the capacity to fully resolve problems
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural blueprints
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and perform basic electric, plumbing and carpentry tasks
• Possess Universal License

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate and timely completion of client maintenance service requests.
• Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
• Ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies.
• Maintain and source materials for routine maintenance.
• Evaluate vendors and suppliers on quality and pricing.
• Prepare and submit purchase order requests.
• Verify deliveries for count, pricing, and description.
• Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work by outside contractors.
• Ensure timely performance of maintenance on critical systems such as elevators and fire alarm systems.
• Lead event setup/teardown activities as needed.
• Maintain HVAC systems and related equipment at peak performance.
• Read and interpret building system designs to improve operation.
• Identify equipment needing replacement or reconditioning and coordinate with client.
