Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds. The role requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, with the ability to supervise staff and coordinate vendor work.

You will schedule daily maintenance tasks, screen and interview candidates, train staff, maintain safety standards, and manage supplies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.
• Supervisory experience preferred; able to lead maintenance staff.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommending maintenance personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds staff.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
