Job description

Well-established Phoenix-based architectural millwork and cabinet company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead.

Responsibilities and Qualifications for Maintenance Lead:

• Lead and train the maintenance team.
• Set up daily and weekly maintenance and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Respond to daily work orders at each building location.
• Monitor and repair production equipment as needed.
• Inspect buildings and facilities regularly for safe working conditions.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program and document maintenance history for all equipment, purchases, and facility expenditures.
• Interact with vendors, management, and internal customers to provide various services.
• Assist in installing and maintaining production machines.
• Perform emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Apply mechanical skills, including electrical (high and low voltage), pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and electrical schematics for diagnostics and repairs.
• Use test equipment such as meters for adjustments and repairs.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance based on manufacturer specifications and scheduled programs.
• Assist in plumbing maintenance and general property service functions.
• Utilize appropriate tools for the job.
• Detect and report faulty machine operations and equipment issues to supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Welding experience is a plus, along with general building maintenance skills.

Working Environment:

• Woodworking shop environment with exposure to fumes, cleaning materials, dust, and temperatures above 85°F during Arizona summers.
• Professional office and warehouse environments.

Equipment Knowledge:

• CNC machines, edge banders, table saws, beam saws, slider saws, compressors, dust collectors, and stone wet saws.
