Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in McLean, VA is seeking a Business Analyst with strong ITSM and mainframe domain experience to analyze incidents and drive resolution.

You will gather requirements, translate them into BRD/FRD and user stories, support UAT, and collaborate with onshore/offshore teams. Experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS and tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence will be valued.

Qualifications

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, JAD sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Create BRD, FRD, process flows, and use cases; support UAT planning, execution, and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request tickets in ITSM tools.
• Perform ticket triage, impact analysis, prioritization, and categorization.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to drive timely production issue resolution.
• Conduct RCA for recurring incidents and propose preventive measures.
• Track SLAs, backlog trends, and operational metrics; participate in governance meetings.
