Job Description

1. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for mainframe applications.
2. Execute and validate batch jobs, JCL, COBOL programs, and IMS DB.
3. Analyze business and technical requirements to create test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
4. Ability to perform Test Execution and Test data preparation Independently. Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
5. Use tools like HP ALM, JIRA, or equivalent test management systems for test execution and defect tracking.
6. Validate file processing, data integrity, and database updates. Automate mainframe testing using tools like REXX, CA7, or other scripting techniques.
7. Customer Facing role with compliance with business rules and security guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
8. Lead the onshore offshore connection, good understanding of ISPF, SDSF panels, Proc JCL Lib. Investigate the complex Cobol and IMS code, compilation and troubleshooting and Unit test experience.
9. Responsible for analyzing, creating test cases, testing, test plan and maintaining COBOL programs to meet the business needs of organizations.
10. Test the well-structured and efficient COBOL code based on business and system requirements.
11. Perform system testing, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure that COBOL applications are functioning properly.
12. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including program specifications, flowcharts, and operational procedures.
13. Ensure that testing standards are met as per industry standards, security protocols, and best practices.
