Marotta Controls, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Machinist IV to set up and operate conventional and CNC equipment, producing tight-tolerance parts for aerospace and defense markets. You will participate in documentation, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.

The role requires reading drawings, applying GD&T, and guiding other team members while maintaining safety and quality standards. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC and manual machine shop equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to generate work instructions and setup sheets.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Manufacture parts using a variety of tools and materials.
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment and document results.
• Read technical drawings and advise on manufacturability.
• Train and mentor others in machining processes.
• Coordinate with other departments to complete activities on schedule.
• Prepare work instructions and setup sheets for machining tasks.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
