Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Foreman to lead daily operations in Elmwood Park, IL. You will oversee machinists, CNC operators, and shop personnel in a precision environment for large, complex parts using manual and CNC equipment.

The role requires direct machining experience with lathes, mills, boring mills, and CNC machines, with emphasis on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum hands-on machining leadership experience.
• Experience machining large, complex parts.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD models, tolerances (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Lead machinists, CNC operators, and shop staff daily.
• Plan and schedule jobs to meet delivery and capacity.
• Develop methods: tooling, setups, routing, sequencing.
• Oversee machining of large, tight-tolerance parts.
• Provide hands-on support for setups and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, QA and other shops.
• Train and develop machinists and shop employees.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and OSHA compliance.
