Job summary

Electroswitch Corp. in Rockland, MA is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead the second shift, supervise staff, assign work, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.

You will support machine setups, make basic CNC adjustments, coordinate with the first‑shift supervisor, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives while maintaining clean, organized work areas and a strong commitment to problem‑solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related machine shop experience.
• Supervisory, team‑lead, or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of manual machining methods and equipment.
• Working knowledge of CNC machine operations, setups, and basic adjustments.
• Experience scheduling work and managing competing production priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, train, coach, and motivate second‑shift machine shop employees.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work based on production requirements and capacity.
• Coordinate with the first‑shift supervisor for handoffs and priorities.
• Provide hands‑on technical support with machine setups and CNC adjustments.
• Maintain tooling inventory and coordinate tool crib activities.
• Develop routings and identify tooling/fixtures for new parts.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
