Job summary

Amcor is seeking a shift supervisor-like role to maintain line production, maximize output, and minimize scrap. The position requires training employees in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Housekeeping, and acting as backup supervisor in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities include leading safety activities, incident investigations, and ensuring adherence to policies. Candidates should have experience with extrusion, tool handling, and equipment troubleshooting in a 24/7

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments
• Knowledge of extrusion process
• Ability to calibrate machines and understand different systems
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, quality and attendance policies and report hazards
• Act as backup supervisor in absence of Shift Supervisor
• Lead safety meetings and safety program participation
• Complete incidents investigations and implement corrective actions
• Ensure proper training and development of all assigned employees
• Startup/shutdown of line and ensure line paperwork accuracy
• Troubleshoot process, mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform line size and gauge changes
• Manage grade/color changes and run product to specifications
