Job summary

Applewood Operating Company, LLC is seeking an experienced nurse leader to supervise direct nursing care and oversee day-to-day nursing activities in our facility. The role includes directing nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining high-quality resident care.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other leaders to plan shifts, update procedures, and participate in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the state.
• Ability to lead nursing staff and supervise day-to-day nursing activities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Review and update Nursing Service Procedures Manual and discharge plans as required.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with nursing staff and support personnel.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident care to maintain total care.
• Complete required documentation and reports, including accident/incident reports and patient charts.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed and liaise with physicians on treatment plans.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel and participate in staff development and performance evaluations.
