Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Fontana, CA is seeking a Department Lead for Low Voltage Switchgear. You will lead a team on manufacturing projects, coordinate with theProduction Manager, and ensure safe, efficient operations on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and solid reading of blueprints and engineering diagrams. You will help train staff and maintain quality and safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years in manufacturing, fabrication or related field.
• Experience leading a team of employees.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance and safety.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering diagrams.
• Basic math skills to meet specs.
• Familiarity with common tools such as tape measures and drills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee work of assigned team; ensure project completion.
• Address minor discipline issues; escalate serious cases.
• Assist with training and orientation planning with training specialist.
• Collaborate with team to plan upcoming work; delegate assignments.
• Help team with technical issues and complex problems.
• Inspect work performed by team members.
• Track time, materials, and resources for inventory.
• Coordinate with supervisor to resolve department issues.
• Maintain clean, safe work area on the floor.
• Complete assemblies and sub-assemblies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
