Job summary

PharMerica in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee onboarding of new LTC facilities and coordinate data integration into PharMerica’s LTC400/Frameworks systems.

You will lead onboarding technicians, ensure accuracy, schedule coverage, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, delivering reliable go-lives and high-quality medication services for long-term care clients.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting
• Prior supervisory experience (desired)
• Basic understanding of drugs, terminology, and metric system
• Ability to operate a computer

Responsibilities

• Participates in onboarding orientation, training, and competency assessment
• Monitors workflow and reassigns technicians as needed
• Prepares schedules to meet pharmacy needs
• Fills prescriptions and prepares medications for dispensing/delivery
• Handles non-sterile compounding and IV-related tasks
• Manages controlled substances room and automated packaging
• Maintains inventory levels and flags expired meds
• Inputs patient data and orders into the computer system
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
