Job summary

PharmcareUSA is seeking an experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role requires certification as a pharmacy technician in the state of work and offers full-time hours including weekends, with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401K and PTO.

Responsibilities include training staff, assisting pharmacists, medication preparation, and inventory management. This is a fast-paced LTC environment emphasizing accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state where working.
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and ethical conduct required.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training and leading the technician and clerk team, under direction from the pharmacy director.
• Assist pharmacist with input, filling and dispensing of prescriptions.
• Perform filling and IV compounding of prescriptions with accuracy and speed.
• Fill prescriptions per regulatory rules and regulations.
• Answer telephone calls and direct callers to appropriate department.
• Prepare medications for delivery to facilities per delivery schedule.
• Assist walk-in customers or direct to appropriate department.
• Assist with medication ordering and inventory management.
• Maintain Pharmacy Technician license/certification and comply with corporate initiatives.
