Job summary

Palm Valley Post Acute in Goodyear, AZ seeks a nurse leader to provide direct nursing care and supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

You will coordinate care plans, participate in quality assurance, and oversee charting, medication administration, and staffing while maintaining a warm, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with the written policies and procedures and participate in quality assurance efforts.
• Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office as required.
• Chart nurses' notes and transcribe physician orders to resident charts and care plans.
• Participate in employee performance evaluations and staffing decisions with the Nurse Supervisor.
• Inform and guide staff to ensure care plans are followed and resident safety is prioritized.
• Greet and orient new residents and coordinate with physicians on treatments and status checks.
• Oversee medication administration, narcotic records, and drug discrepancy reporting.
