Job summary

Vivo Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing daily nursing operations in accordance with regulatory standards. Qualifications

Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
Must have at least two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related health care facility.
Must have at least six months of rehabilitative/restorative nursing experience.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English and use a computer system.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, development, organization, and evaluation of nursing services daily.
Obtain staffing information to be posted daily.
Demonstrate customer service and professionalism and lead by example with unit supervisors.
Make rounds with physicians; schedule physician visits; complete wound rounds weekly.
Chair meetings in the director’s absence and participate in committees.
Prepare reports on nursing programs and activities for committees.
Determine staffing needs and calculate daily staffing requirements.
Develop work assignments and schedule duty hours; assist supervisors.
Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff meet standards and report findings to the Director.
Ensure direct nursing care is performed by licensed nurses or qualified aides.
