Job summary
Journey in Frederick, MD is seeking a dedicated nurse leader to direct the daily operations of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs, ensuring care that meets federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications
- Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
- CPR certification (current).
Responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs in accordance with current regulations and facility policies.
- Promote holistic care for residents using the nursing model.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing staff.
- Participate in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents.
- Assess changes in residents’ status and notify physician and family, documenting accordingly.
- Transcribe physician orders to medical records and carry out orders as written.
