Job summary

The Alden Network seeks a dedicated nurse supervisor to provide direct nursing care and to oversee day-to-day nursing activities for residents. The role requires an active RN or LPN license in Illinois or Wisconsin and CPR certification, with a focus on maintaining the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities include planning, directing, and evaluating nursing procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and coordinating with physicians and families to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered nursing license (RN or LPN) in IL or WI.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Experience or interest in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure care is delivered per federal, state, local standards and facility policies.
• Develop and implement written care plans for residents.
• Direct and guide nursing staff to follow policies and procedures.
• Attend care plan conferences and communicate with physicians and families.
• Complete nursing documentation accurately and timely.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report as needed.
• Maintain a warm, professional, and calm department environment.
