Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) is seeking a skilled field lead to drive installation and inspection of life safety systems across multiple projects. You will coordinate teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, and test all devices per plan.

Responsibilities include documenting results, communicating issues, and supporting sales with strong client relationships. Occasional travel and on-call duties are required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience within CEC or similar company.
• 2+ safety related certifications
• 1 Industry certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-year technical degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead the physical installation and inspections of life safety systems or other technologies.
• Verify understanding of project plan and milestones; follow safety requirements.
• Lead daily work plan with safe work practices and requirements.
• Assist in cable pathway construction, cable pulling, device terminations, and system testing.
• Monitor life safety systems during inspections and test devices.
• Document test results and communicate discrepancies to the team.
• Review documentation and use checklists to ensure devices are tested.
• Produce quality and efficient work; maintain a clean, organized site.
• Travel up to 25% to job sites.
• Support on-site leadership and contribute to process improvements.
• Assist Sales to strengthen client relationships.
• Close projects with customer walk-throughs and documentation submission.
• Support 24/7 on-call rotation as needed.
• Return to work with feedback to improve processes.
