Job summary
TEKsystems is actively seeking experienced Lead Low Voltage Cable Technicians to support a growing portfolio of commercial cabling projects throughout the Nashville area. This onsite role requires reading blueprints, installing, routing, terminating and testing low-voltage systems, and delivering high-quality installations with minimal supervision.
The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, competitive pay ($28.00 - $35.00/hr) and benefits.
Qualifications
- Experience installing structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to read blueprints independently.
- Strong knowledge of cable pathway installation.
- Must have your own hand tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, and test low-voltage systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings
- Build and install cable pathways, including cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, and other support systems
- Pull and label copper and fiber cabling
- Perform punch-downs, terminations, and testing
- Complete rack-and-stack installations and equipment mounting
- Maintain a clean and safe job site while adhering to OSHA standards
- Work independently to complete assigned scopes of work and meet project deadlines
- Collaborate with project teams and customers when necessary
