Role Description

The Low-Voltage Technician is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashville, TN. In this role, the technician installs, terminates, and tests low-voltage cabling and related systems in commercial and industrial environments. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting plans or schematics, routing cables, mounting and connecting equipment, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems. The technician collaborates closely with project managers and team members to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with company and industry standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to safety protocols, and providing clear communication with clients and colleagues on job progress and technical issues.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Maintenance and working with Electrical Equipment to support the installation and upkeep of low-voltage systems.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Electricity and foundational Electrical Engineering principles relevant to low-voltage cabling and system design.
  • Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose, repair, and optimize low-voltage and related electrical components.
  • Relevant experience in low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, or structured wiring in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams, use hand and power tools safely, and work effectively on ladders or in confined spaces.
  • Commitment to jobsite safety, adherence to company policies, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with reliability in attendance and meeting project deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, certifications (e.g., BICSI, OSHA 10/30), or related trade experience are beneficial.
