Job summary

Next Level Technician in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Lead Cable Technician to guide field crews in commercial structured cabling projects. You will pull, route, and terminate CAT5e/CAT6, install racks and patch panels, and complete MDF/IDF builds while ensuring quality and progress reporting.

Requires 4+ years of cabling experience, leadership ability, and strong testing/troubleshooting skills; Fiber/ CCTV experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years commercial structured cabling experience
• Ability to lead and direct technicians
• Strong CAT5e/CAT6 installation and termination skills
• Testing and troubleshooting experience
• MDF/IDF, racks and patch panels experience
• Ability to read prints and lay out work
• Fiber, access control and CCTV experience is a plus
• OSHA 10 / Lift certifications preferred

Pay: $28–$35/hr DOE

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, dress and terminate CAT5e/CAT6
• Terminate jacks and patch panels
• Install racks, cabinets, J-hooks and pathway
• Complete MDF/IDF buildouts
• Test and troubleshoot structured cabling
• Read prints and lay out work for assigned areas
• Monitor installation quality and productivity

Requirements

• Previous Lead Technician experience
• Strong CAT5e/CAT6 installation and termination skills
• Testing and troubleshooting experience
• MDF/IDF, racks and patch panel experience
• Ability to read prints and lay out work
• Ability to lead and provide direction to other technicians
• Basic low voltage hand tools and PPE
• Reliable transportation
• Fiber, access control and CCTV experience a plus
• OSHA 10 / Lift certifications preferred
