Job summary

Nolan Transportation Group is seeking a Solutions Engineer to assess, develop and support logistics solutions that improve client business models. You will review current states, analyze data, and design an ideal future state as a hands-on leader within the sales process.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, price complex services, and help present documents to clients. Requires strong consultative selling, project management, and logistics expertise across modes.

Qualifications

• BS degree required; MBA preferred if not in business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management fields.
• Minimum 4 years of complex, consultative solutions experience.
• Direct consulting experience in transportation, logistics, and/or TMS at the C-Suite level.

Responsibilities

• Communicate value and differentiators of Transportation Insight as a logistics partner and our core competencies across all modes.
• Gather client requirements and understand key value drivers for improvements.
• Assess prospect current supply chain program and document current state.
• Coordinate the assessment process and ensure timelines.
• Understand client systems and requirements to propose the best solution.
• Work with cross-functional team to develop a solutions strategy and framework.
• Facilitate strategy meetings and coordinate internal resources in design process.
• Document future solution for presentations and documentation.
• Assist in creating pricing strategies for offerings.
• Help sales demonstrate technology platforms to close new business.
• Communicate with prospects and clients via phone, web and on-site as needed.
• Report unfulfilled needs and improvements to leadership.
• Assist transition from sales to implementation/account management teams.
• Document best practices and support continuous improvement.
