Job summary

United Airlines in Chicago is seeking a Sr. Manager - Logistics Services Optimization to lead Lean transformation across Warehouses and related domains, driving efficiency and faster parts movement.

You will manage a team of SMEs, apply Lean Six Sigma methods, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver data-driven improvements and executive communications. This role requires strong multi-project delivery and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or business administration or related field, or Project Management Certification
• 7+ years of related work experience
• 5+ years in managing complex Continuous Improvement projects
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma
• Experience mentoring PM staff
• Strong communication to senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization and business teams to apply Lean/Six Sigma to transform and optimize processes in Logistics Services (Warehouses)
• Understand strategic impact of problems and proposed solutions
• Lead and manage a small team of SMEs for SOPs across Logistics Services
• Coordinate data gathering, analysis and development of improvements with business leadership
• Develop end-to-end executive level communications for senior leadership
• Lead cross-departmental workshops to identify opportunities and drive improvements
