Job summary

Alter Metal Recycling is seeking a Dispatcher to oversee transportation operations at our North Little Rock, AR facility. The role manages drivers, ensures on-time service for industrial/commercial pickups and deliveries, and coordinates with the Regional Transportation Manager to optimize the dispatch process.

The ideal candidate has dispatching experience, strong administrative skills, and knowledge of logistics and safety regulations. Hours are Monday–Friday, with some Saturday work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with trucks and trailers (flat, roll-offs, dump, etc.).
• Strong customer service and ability to work with multiple levels of personnel.
• Proven leadership in transportation or logistics.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Experience in managing a team and driving performance improvements.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with routing software and fleet management systems.

• Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
