Qualifications

• Hands-on experience coordinating rail, truck, and barge operations.
• Strong knowledge of railcar scheduling and railroad coordination.
• Experience negotiating freight contracts and managing carriers.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and transportation management software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound transportation using rail, truck, and barge.
• Schedule railcars, barge shipments, and over-the-road movements.
• Negotiate freight rates and manage carrier contracts.
• Build relationships with rail operators, barge companies, and freight brokers.
• Optimize rail, port, and transloading operations to reduce costs.
• Oversee shipping documents including bills of lading and manifests.
• Coordinate inventory movements between facilities and customer locations.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FRA, and transportation regulations.
• Utilize ERP and TMS to monitor shipments and analyze freight performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for logistics efficiency.
