Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking an experienced Lead Locate Technician to supervise and organize locate technicians, ensuring precise underground utility identification. The role emphasizes project management, mentoring, and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free.
• Computer literate and able to locate.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance in locate operations and investigations.
• Perform damage investigations and audits, including field safety audits.
• Execute ride alongs with crew members and manage ticket distribution.
• Lead team management and provide mentorship to locate technicians.
• Oversee equipment, vehicles, and supplies; manage recruitment to the team.
• Preserve safety and foster positive relationships with customers and crew.
