Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Manager, Events and Production to lead event media technology planning and live production for campus events. You will consult with clients, plan resources, and ensure smooth operation of field and studio equipment.

The role requires coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing staff and student crews, and delivering high‑quality media experiences for executive events and public programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience OR Master’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience.
• Related experience: Event media technology coordination and support or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with campus clients to assess an event’s media technology requirements.
• Develop plans to fulfill various event needs, including procurement of equipment and additional staff, as well as system test‑bedding and component evaluation.
• Determine field and studio production equipment and personnel requirements by participating in preproduction meetings.
• Coordinate and oversee the operation of production equipment in the field and in studios, including audio recording equipment, video cameras, etc.
• Triage requests for maintenance, carry out routine maintenance and repair of the department’s equipment and furnishings, and coordinate with the campus Facilities Maintenance Services department for building maintenance.
• Schedule and coordinate equipment and staffing.
• Supervision of staff and students in the execution of campus events and field production
