Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking an experienced lineman based in Texas to install and maintain OH/UG lines, transformers, regulators and related equipment. The role requires driving, climbing poles, and operating bucket trucks.

You will travel 25% to 50% and be on call for outages, storms, and emergencies. A Class A CDL is required or must be obtainable; a strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of lineman experience.
• Ability to obtain or hold Class A CDL.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments.
• Strong communication and safety mindset.
• Ability to lead and direct other linemen.
• Commitment to following Entergy safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Install OH/UG transformers and wiring of transformer banks.
• Install and wire regulators, capacitors and reclosers.
• Operate Field equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
• Read job prints and sketches; plan and lay out work safely and efficiently.
• Be on call for emergencies, outages and storms.
