Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class B Lineman in Texas to safely construct and repair overhead distribution systems, including energized lines. You may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, as needed by operations and customers.

You will work outdoors in varied weather, climb structures, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and participate in emergency callouts. CDL required; three years of overhead line experience; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of overhead line experience are required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage safety procedures on energized/de-energized lines.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment; work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions; respond to outages and emergencies.
