Job summary

Hillside Boutique Hotel is seeking a Cook / Line Cook to prepare and present high-quality meals in a timely fashion while adhering to recipes and food safety guidelines.

You will work with the kitchen team to maintain cleanliness, organize ingredients, and ensure consistent dish quality that meets guests' expectations, with responsibilities across prep, station maintenance, and inventory coordination.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar role required.
• Current TX TABC or RVSP (LA) and ServSafe/food handler certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items using broilers, ovens, grills and fryers.
• Ensure food quality and portions meet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of line stations and equipment.
• Rotate and store products properly; assist with inventories.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and attend staff meetings.
