Job summary

Marquette Mountain Resort LLC in Michigan is seeking a Lead Line Cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications and set up stations for the menu. You will assist with daily tasks of executive and sous chefs and contribute to customer satisfaction and dining experiences.

This part-time position requires availability for varied shifts, including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends in a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll manage prep, cooking, sanitation, inventory, and support for banquets and events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proven cooking experience with Line Cook background.
• Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and stocks food items and supplies.
• Assists with training of new kitchen staff.
• Minimizes waste based on restaurant needs.
• Assists with banquets and special events.
• Performs deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the chef.
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing and sauces.
• Cooks using grilling, frying, sautéing and other methods to spec.
