King Street Brewing Company seeks a Lead Cook to supervise and execute high-volume production of the artisanal menu in Anchorage. You will manage kitchen flow, ensure consistent quality, and lead a small culinary team within a fast-paced taproom.

The role emphasizes culinary skill, inventory control, and adherence to NMS safety culture while supporting one of Anchorage's popular social hubs.

Qualifications

• Lead cook with 2 years of documented experience.
• Must speak, understand, read and write English.
• Must obtain Nutrition/food-safety certification (Food Handler's Card or ServSafe) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform all main line food production duties per shift.
• Coordinate with supervisor on daily needs and supplies; complete production sheets.
• Assist with menu and recipe development.
• Oversee food safety, sanitation, and quality control of assigned areas.
• May assist in supervising and training food service staff.
• Arrange for kitchen helpers to complete smaller prep tasks.
• Ensure serving lines and storage areas are stocked, set up, and clean.
• Fill in for other kitchen positions as needed.
• Observe proper rotation of produce and dairy; maintain equipment/storage sanitation.
• Other duties to support department goals.
