Purpose Of Position

A Lead Cook takes care of practical operations and carries out all technical tasks in the kitchen. He/she establishes an organic relationship among employees and takes charge of one of the many sections in the kitchen.

The Ideal Candidates Will Have

EXPERIENCE: Cooking experience of 2 years or more.

CREDENTIALS: Culinary certificate a must and/or leadership experience is a must.

  • Must speak English fluent enough to be able to deal with customers and present menu
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of the food and contemporary American cuisine
  • Must possess the ability and skills to create new menu items in keeping with the general trend
  • Must be an excellent communicator and team player.
  • Must be able to manage personnel well.
  • Must show basic computer proficiency such as with MS Office
  • Must demonstrate the ability to multitask
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of, and skills to use, kitchen facility, utility, equipment and kitchenware
  • Must know applicable laws regarding food safety and general kitchen operation
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
  • Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays, AM, PM, overnight and overtime when needed.
