Job summary

Rolls-Royce seeks an Assistant Chief Lifecycle Engineer Lead for Mature Engines in Indianapolis, IN. The role manages a Lifecycle Engineering team and provides systems engineering leadership for civil mature programs, traveling up to 10% domestically.

You will drive safety, reliability and customer satisfaction through technical leadership, investigations, and engineering publications while coordinating with global teams. Relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher with 5+ years of engineering experience
Master's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience
PhD in Engineering
U.S. Citizen eligibility requirement

Responsibilities

Direct off-wing Lifecycle Engineering team in Safety Processes, shop findings, test rejections, tear downs and in-service investigations.
Evaluate in-service engines/hardware with conditions outside current manual limits (Technical Variances).
Develop Ground Support Equipment design and support, revise repairs and issue technical publication changes.
Provide engineering leadership for development projects, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
Identify and prioritize engineering product improvement projects, plan and budget for cost/schedule improvements.
Lead customer/internal reviews and participate in PILM, Risk Management, DTA and PCB boards.
Manage SOWs, budgets and vendor assignments; engage with global MRO for best practices.
Coordinate with global flow lines to meet service level agreements.
