Job summary

Forge is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician with substantial heat pump experience to join our residential installation team in Metrowest and Eastern Massachusetts. You will lead electrical work behind heat pump installs, mentor apprentices, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

Based in Newton, MA, Forge installs energy-efficient heat pumps for homeowners and offers a stable, full-time schedule Monday–Friday with ongoing training and a path to van, tools, and independence after

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Hands-on experience with heat pump systems in residential settings.
• Ability to lead a job site and mentor apprentices.
• Strong ability to read electrical layouts and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, wiring and upgrades for heat pump systems.
• Wire heating/cooling equipment and integrated controls.
• Perform panel and service upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical faults.
• Read and interpret layouts and submittals.
• Collaborate with tech support to resolve product issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, OSHA, and safety.
• Mentor apprentices on-site and develop team skills.
• Own job quality, timeline, and communication with coordinators.
