Job summary

Yuba County personnel seeks a Senior Library Technician to support library operations and public service. The role provides lead direction, technical assistance to staff and volunteers, and acts as a primary county resource for assigned library programs.

Ideal candidates will deliver excellent service, plan and coordinate library programs, and collaborate with a team. Evening/weekend shifts, Live Scan, and typing proficiency are required; MLS or related certification strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 60 semester or 90 quarter units from an accredited college in a field related to the work.
• Preferred: MLS or library certification with additional years of progressively responsible library experience.
• Typing certificate: minimum net of 40 wpm with a five-minute test.
• Evening and weekend shifts required.
• Background check with Live Scan; disaster service duties as per Government Code.

Responsibilities

• Provide library services to the public and community.
• Lead direction and technical assistance to staff/volunteers; supervise projects.
• Serve as primary contact and County resource expert for assigned areas.
• Support successful operation of library programs and services.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing library programs and projects.
