Yuba County personnel seeks a Senior Library Technician to support library operations and public service. The role provides lead direction, technical assistance to staff and volunteers, and acts as a primary county resource for assigned library programs.
Ideal candidates will deliver excellent service, plan and coordinate library programs, and collaborate with a team. Evening/weekend shifts, Live Scan, and typing proficiency are required; MLS or related certification strongly preferred.
The County of Yuba is currently accepting applications for a Senior Library Technician in the Library. Under general supervision, the incumbent will support the successful operation of the library by providing library services to the public;provides lead direction and technical assistance to assigned support staff/volunteers and/or project management; serves as the primary contact and County resource expert on assigned functional areas and/or programs and performs related work as assigned.

MINIMUM: 60 semester or 90 quarter units from an accredited college in a field related to the work and some experience providing outreach or library services to the public. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED: In addition to the minimum, media studies or library certification with additional years of progressively responsible library experience or a Masters Degree in Library Science.
Salary/Compensation: $22.82 - $25.11 per hour
