Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union in Marlboro, MA is seeking a Senior Leaves Specialist to administer and optimize the organization’s employee leave programs. You will partner with employees, managers, HR, payroll, and third-party administrators to ensure compliant and positive employee experiences across FMLA, ADA, and other leave types.

You will manage complex cases end-to-end, interpret regulations, and drive process improvements while upholding policy adherence and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
• Minimum 4 years of experience supporting leave of absence and ADA programs.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, paid family and medical leave, accommodations).
• Experience administering complex leave and disability programs, preferably multi-state.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage employee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, state/local leaves, parental/military leaves, disability-related leaves).
• Serve as subject matter expert for employees, managers, HR partners on policies and regulatory obligations.
• Manage complex leave cases from intake to resolution with compliant documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party admins, payroll, benefits, and HR teams on leave administration.
• Monitor regulatory developments and audit leave processes and files for compliance.
• Analyze leave metrics and support process improvements and system enhancements.
